Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8350i with Push-to-Talk launches

Sprint have unveiled the new BlackBerry Curve 8350i, the first push-to-talk RIM device on the carrier's Nextel iDEN network.  The QWERTY-blessed smartphone has WiFi, GPS, a 2-megapixel camera with video recording functionality, and measures 4.4 x 2.4 x 0.7 inches.  Group Connect is supported, meaning the Curve 8350i can be used to communicate with up to twenty people simultaneously.

Obviously there's the usual BlackBerry messaging, with the 8350i running software v4.6, and DataViz Documents To Go is preinstalled for viewing and editing Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on the Curve itself.  There's also Bluetooth 2.0, a microSD slot (though no card is included, and the handset won't record video without one) and a speakerphone.

The Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8350i is available today from business sales or Sprint's sales line, priced from $149.99 with a new two-year agreement and after an $80 instant credit and $100 mail-in rebate (bah).  Meanwhile the smartphone will be finding its way into Sprint stores come January 11th.
