Sony PS4 New Game Storm Is Just Days Away

While autumn is usually the time we see a lot of game releases, we don't usually get very many game reveals. Those are typically reserved for major trade shows like E3 or Gamescom that occur earlier in the year, but next week, Sony will change that. Today Sony announced that it will be hosting a media showcase for Paris Games Week, and it will have plenty of games in tow.

Sony says that on Monday, starting at 9:00 AM Pacific time, it will launch into that media showcase, but it seems like the pre-show stream is what we'll be most interested in. Starting at 8 AM, Sony will show an "introductory live stream" that will offer updates on 21 incoming games. Seven of those games will be previously unannounced PS4 and PSVR titles, so it sounds like it'll definitely be worth tuning in early.

Once the showcase begins at 9 AM, we can probably expect a closer look at the games that are revealed during the early stream. As far as those updates on already revealed titles, we'll likely see more from God of War, Detroit: Become Human, and Spider-Man, among others. One thing to watch for in particular are those new PlayStation VR games – with Sony recently launching a new version of the PSVR headset, interest in the platform should be high.

Sony says on the PlayStation Blog that once the showcase is over, it'll take another look at the day's biggest announcements. All in all, it sounds like it's going to be a big day for Sony and its two gaming platforms. Most (if not all) of the games announced on Monday probably won't be releasing until sometime in 2018, but Sony could very well be planning to use this show to build excitement for the PlayStation 4 as we head into the holiday season.

The whole thing kicks off at 9 AM Pacific on Monday, October 30. You can watch the live stream in a variety of places, be it PlayStation's official website, Twitch, or YouTube. We'll be covering all the big announcements from the show, so be sure to check back in with us on Monday.
