Skype 4.0 update hits iOS

One of the most popular video chat applications on earth has been updated to version 4.0 for the iPhone and iPad, it here having several stability and user interface tweaks as it hits the airwaves. This application is a totally free download, as always, and works with your device's front-facing camera to allow you to video chat back and forth between mobile devices, desktop, and more. This application requires that you be running iOS version 4.3 or later as well – so update and update!

Skypes newest iteration will have you seeing updates to both the application user interface itself as well as the basic log-in screen, with both button re-arrangements and simplifications of text fields in order. This version of the app includes a feature which has it automatically reboot if there's any sort of crash, and you'll, again, be seeing stability increase overall.

This update works for all iOS devices but will only allow you to chat with video if you've got a front-facing camera.
