Security grows up, feasts on your whole hand
No, you daft sausage, this happy woman isn't using some new fangled hand-massage machine, she's excited because she can finally secure her precious knitting patterns using the latest in full-hand biometrics. Who needs individual fingers when you can scan the whole damn palm, too!
IngersollRand are the imaginatively-named company behind the hand-dryer-esque gizmos, each designed to pick out multiple points not just from fingerprints but from the unique contours of the rest of the hand.
If biometric standards get you as aroused as this woman obviously is, then you'll be overjoyed to hear that the Handkey II supports Desfire, Mifare, iClass and Proximity credentials. I'm not sure what that means, but somewhere I'm sure there's a network security manager growing moist at the news.
