Roku Adds New Streaming Channels In Time For The Holidays
Students and lots of other people have time off for the holidays. That means that many people will be sitting on the couch looking to catch up on some of their favorite shows or looking for new favorites. In celebration of time off, Roku has added some new streaming content to its lineup. The US Roku Channel Store has surpassed 2,000 channels.Roku says that there are over 200,000 movies and TV episodes. The content spans a wide range from music, news and weather, sports, kids and family, fitness, international movies, and more. The new channels that launched this week bring a lot of new content to the mix.
The new channels include Nat Geo TV, FX Now, and MLG.tv. HBO Go and Showtime Anytime is now available for Comcast Xfinity customers. A Roku Recommends channel has also been added. Roku has also added search to include the 15 top streaming channels.
Searching for a movie will look for it across Fox Now, CinemaNow, FXNow, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, HBO Go, Crackle, Vudu, M-Go, TWC, Popcornflix, Blockbuster on Demand, Snagfilms, and Acorn TV. Searching for movies and TV shows also includes pricing details.
