Realme x50 pro official with ultra-wide selfies and 5G

This morning the folks at realme revealed the realme X50 Pro 5G with high-powered hardware and a wild assortment of features. This is the first 5G-equipped smartphone from the company realme, but it comes with an industrial design that should look rather familiar. Around the back you’ll find a set three cameras assisting a main camera – realme calls this their “64MP Hawk Eye AI quad camera” array. Up front you’ll find a 32MP ultra-wide-angle In-Display dual-selfie camera (two lenses, that is), with a 90Hz refresh rate Super AMOLED display.

This device is made to roll with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with 5G connectivity (NSA/SA 5G network confirmed). The realme X50 Pro also supports NFC, dual-band GPS, and realme UI software based on Android 10. The touchscreen panel up front is a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with a 180Hz sampling rate (touch refresh), and 90Hz image refresh rate.

There’ll be several options for RAM and internal data storage with the following combinations: 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, and 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. This includes LPDDR5 tech with UFS 3.0/TW/HBP, as well as a “tactile engine motor” – so it’ll buzz real well …but we shall see.

This phone has 65W “SuperDart” fast charging, which realme suggests will allow the device to be “fully charged in 35 minutes.” That’s 35 minutes for a whopping 4200mAh of battery – that’s no small feat! There’s an in-display fingerprint reader for quick unlock of the device, as well as a pill-shaped cut-out for the phone’s front-facing cameras.

The front-facing cameras include the following:
• 32MP Sony IMX616, f/2.5 aperture
• 8MP UWA, f/2.2 aperture, 105-degree fov

Back-facing cameras:
• 64MP UWA
• 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle/3cm ultra-macro
• 12MP telephoto lens, 20x hybrid zoom
• Portrait Lens

This device’s release comes with prices for Spain, specifically. The folks at realme made it a point to say that the prices you see here are ONLY for Spain, and that prices may be different once different markets see full release: 599 euros (8+128), 669 euros (8GB + 256GB), and 749 euros (12GB + 256GB). This device has a “metal middle frame” and two colors – Moss Green and Rust Red.
