Razer DeathAdder Elite detailed

This morning the folks at Razer have revealed a new edition of their "best gaming mouse in the world," as they call it, the DeathAdder Elite. This version of the mouse works with the best optical sensor Razer has available – a Razer 5G Optical Sensor. This mouse also works with Razer Mechanical Switches, the first mouse to be released with said switches. Razer Chroma will be on and in this device as well, of course, blasting colors aplenty.

This mouse works with a 16,000 DPI optical sensor with up to 450 IPS / 50 g acceleration. Like its best buddies in keyboards, mechanical switches have come to this mouse, co-designed and produced with "leading global mouse switch supplier", Omron.

Our Razer DeathAdder Chroma Review from the tail end of 2014 spoke highly of the mouse. It's a fabulous mouse – certainly on the high end of quickness and so forth – but now with a slightly more grippy scroll wheel and DPI buttons, there's no reason not to want this mouse.

Unless you're left-handed, of course. Razer's first "Elite" DeathAdder only comes in a right-handed edition. We'll be crossing our fingers for the other side soon.

This mouse works with 7 independently programmable "Hyperesponse" buttons as well as 1000 Hz Ultrapolling. There's a gold-plated USB connector here as well, for whatever magical reason, and a 2.1 m / 7 ft. braided fiber USB cable to connect to the user's PC.

The DeathAdder Elite mouse now has DPI buttons (for quick switching whilst in the game), as well as an improved scroll wheel with more tactile surface. The size of this mouse comes in at 127 mm / 5 in. (Length) x 70 mm / 2.76 in. (Width) x 44 mm / 1.73 in. (Height). The weight is right around 105 g / 0.23 lbs.

Pre-orders for the Razer DeathAdder Elite begin on the 27th of September, 2016. Worldwide on-sale date begins in October. This mouse will be available for a cool U.S. $69.99/ EU €79.99.
