PS4 Retakes Sales Crown From Xbox One In November

Microsoft has been making big pushes with the Xbox One, lately. With their most recent big update they rolled out the ability to stream your games to any Windows 10 PC in your home, and gave us backwards compatibility. Obviously, they're on top of the console game, right? No, not quite.

Back in October, the Xbox One was finally able to edge out the PS4 in sales, owing mostly to the release of Halo 5: Guardians. However, despite nice Black Friday discounts and bundles, Microsoft's current-gen offering wasn't able to keep pace with Sony's sales powerhouse.

It's interesting to see Sony back on top, with two Xbox One exclusives coming out in late October/early November. Both Halo 5 and Rise of The Tomb Raider were poised to be big sellers, but they weren't enough to move consoles. What's interesting is that there weren't any big PS4 exclusives this month, just some big multiplatform games such as Fallout 4 and Star Wars: Battlefront. It seems that when it comes to games that can be found on either system, people are still choosing the PS4.

Microsoft is still pushing hard for the holiday season by offering $50 off of any bundle through the 26th of this month. Will it be enough to take the lead again? We'll know in another month's time.
