Pixel 3 video leak shows features pre-release day

The Google Pixel 3 had another leak last night, this time in the video realm. The video was actually seen in screenshots a couple weeks ago from a source other than that of the leak today, but now we're getting the full picture. Unfortunate for us, the features shown here aren't particularly new when it comes to Android 9 Pie – not when we're on a Pixel 2. Instead, it's almost as if we're seeing what's already possible on a Pixel 2 XL, but here on a Pixel 3.

The Pixel 3 video shows the device running through the basics of Android 9 Pie, including notifications, handling gestures, and activating the smartphone's hardware keys and squeeze-friendly sides. Google also shows how they've retained gestures from the glory days of the original Moto X, with flipping the phone twice to activate a camera feature.

This video is the newest in a shockingly dense line of leaks for the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL. The conspiracy theorist in me wants to suggest there's foul play afoot – but the realist in me thinks someone just effed up in a major way at some point along the promotion line. The unfortunate truth of the matter is quite likely the most simple: We already know what the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL will be about, what they'll be able to do, and what they'll look like.

Have a peek at the images and video revealed by MySmartPrice above, and take a longer peek at the timeline below. Over the past several weeks we've seen specifications, benchmarks, photo samples, renderings, and even in-hand first impressions of the devices in question. If this is all Google's doing, they'll have performed the trick of the century.

Also stick around for the October 9th event where Google will "reveal" the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL as well as a few other devices in the Google Assistant / Google Home realm. Get ready to see either everything we've already seen leaked, or a WHOLE BUNCH of surprises!
