Olympus Stylus TOUGH-6010 series revealed

Brenda Barron - Jul 17, 2009

In case you’ve been holding out for a new model camera that sports a rough around the edges appeal, you might be pleased to hear Olympus revealed today their Stylus TOUGH-6010 series, which offers a tough outer shell and competent features.

The new camera sports a 3.6X zoom and has 12-megapixels. But the camera has the added benefit of being waterproof down to 9.8-feet below the surface and can be dropped from 4.9-feet without breaking.

It can also withstand temperatures down to 14F. Another neat feature are the Magic Filters, which tack on effects like Pop Art or a pinhole camera. Other specs include optical image stabilization, scene selection, tap controls and more. You can get the Olympus TOUGH-6010 in Europe later this month.
