Oculus Touch launch game lineup: Fruit Ninja VR, Surgeon Simulator, and more
Oculus has detailed the full roster of games that will be available when the Oculus Touch motion controllers launch. The list is comprised of 53 titles in total, all of them made specifically for virtual reality. The games will all be available on December 6 when the controllers arrive, and they cover a range of topics and themes, some of them — like Surgeon Simulator — being better suited for VR than regular consoles.
The Oculus Touch controllers are up for preorder now for $199 USD (that gets you a pair, plus the sensor and a Rock Band VR connector). Those who already own a Rift headset will get priority amongst the preorders, so you should see your Touch pair arrive in the near future, assuming you've preordered. Those who order early will also get VR Sports Challenge and The Unspoken for free.
With the controllers come a whole new line of games that utilize them, among the lineup being Cosmic Trip, The Climb, Carnival Games VR, Arizona Sunshine, Galaxy Golf, Job Simulator, Ocean Rift, Pierhead Arcade, Rec Room, Space Pirate Trainer, and more. Of course, more games with Oculus Touch support are in the pipeline for next year, including Robo Recall and Lone Echo.
Assuming you don't plan to preorder, you'll still have one game available for free: Toybox. According to Oculus, Toybox will be available on the Oculus Store when the Touch controllers launch, and it'll be free to download. It's a crazy, haphazard experience in which users light fireworks, mess around with gadgets, play ping pong without gravity, and more.
