Nokia Lumia 900 update fixes purple screen hue

Nokia has released a firmware update for its flagship Windows Phone, the Lumia 900. The update will bring some new enhancements as well as fix a few bugs, such as a problem with the screen turning a purple hue in low light conditions. The company says that the update is in response to feedback it has received since the device launched a few months back and that it intends to roll out new updates and surprises in the near future.

Besides fixing the screen hue problem, the update also improves the sensitivity of the Lumia 900's proximity sensor. There are also other minor adjustments and enhancements, for which Nokia did not go into specifics. The update, however, is only for the Nokia Lumia 900 on AT&T's network in the US.

Nokia recommends installing the update as soon as you can. To get the update, you'll have to connect to a PC or Mac and use the Zune Desktop or Windows Phone 7 Connector software to download and install the update.
