Nintendo Switch in stock at Toys R Us starting tomorrow

Good news for those of you still chasing a Nintendo Switch: Toys R Us has announced that it will be receiving a fresh batch of consoles tomorrow. The console has been notoriously hard to find ever since launch, and restocks seem to sell out as quickly as they come in. That means you'll probably need to do some waiting tomorrow if you want to snag a Switch.

Toys R Us seems to suggest that this will be a nationwide restock and encourages people to line up ahead of time to better their chances. Stores will open at 9 AM local time, and there's no word on how much stock each store will be getting. With that in mind, it might be a good idea to take the company's advice and line up early. Toys R Us is limiting this allotment to one per customer, so those interested in picking up multiple consoles to resell should probably just stay home.

In a recent call with investors, GameStop suggested that these stock problems with the Switch won't get sorted out any time soon. According to COO Tony Bartel, GameStop expects Switch stock issues to persist throughout 2017, so those still hunting for one will definitely have their work cut out for them.

Though Nintendo is probably thrilled to hear that demand for the Switch is so high, hopefully it's able to prove Bartel wrong and have a significant number of consoles ready to go for the holiday season. The original Wii was sold out consistently each holiday season for years, leaving a lot of consumers frustrated as they looked for a Wii only to be turned away time and time again.

Will you be heading out tomorrow to try your luck at Toys R Us? Be sure to let us know in the comments section, and if you're going to try to snag a Switch, good luck.
