In the Nokia 6 is a new smartphone with a design that’s already on the books. “Built on the well loved design of its predecessor,” is what Nokia says about the “New Nokia 6.” This smartphone has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 inside. This device also rolls with a 16MP rear camera with ZEISS optics and a dual-tone flash.
This machine is built from a single block of 6000 series aluminum “finished with two-tone anodization to stand out from the crowd.” Glass on this device is 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass – reinforced to avoid scratches. This version is “more compact” than the previous gen, and this device comes with Android 8.0 Oreo right out the box.
The New Nokia 6 has two variants right out the gate – for the EMEA and APAC region. One version has 3GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB internal storage. There’s another version with 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. There are also versions for LATAM and Hong Kong/Taiwan regions. All regions of this device have a microSD card slot with support up to a 128GB card.
This device has a 3000mAh battery and usb-c with what Nokia suggests is 50% charge in 30-minutes. This device has a quoted standby time of up to 507 hours, talk time up to 119 hours, and video playback up to 12.5 hours. Dimensions for this device are 148.8 x 75.8 x 8.15mm (and 8.6mm with the camera bump.)
This device will be made available this year in a number of color combinations. There’ll be a Black/Copper, a White/Iron, and a Blue/Gold. These colors will be available dependent on region and carrier. This New Nokia 6 will cost around 279 Euro and it’ll be released in April of 2018.
