Audiophiles can use Mu-so 2nd Generation to stream high-resolution music at up to 32bit/384kHz using UPnP; the system features AirPlay 2 support, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, TIDAL, and Internet radio.

Users can choose to stream using a wired Ethernet connection or over the upgraded WiFi connectivity. Bluetooth devices can also be connected to the system. The updated Mu-so system also features a USB input with support for playing music directly from USB drives.

Consumers get HDMI ARC in the new Mu-so 2nd Generation model, which enables simple connectivity with a television for a high-quality home entertainment audio experience. In addition to the new features and enhancements, Naim has evolved the system's design to bring the same style as the previous model, but with a new touch panel joined by an illuminated dial.

A proximity sensor triggers the dial to light up when the user's hand moves near it. This new interface offers users direct access to the expected playback controls, as well as Spotify's resume function, multi-room functionality, radio, and other aspects of audio playback. As well, the new model features a premium aluminum casing with a new burnished grey finish, new speaker grille style, and optional Terracotta, Peacock, and Olive colorways.

The Naim app has been updated to enable browsing by album, artist, genre, and other filters; users see artwork and extended info about the music content. The app provides control access for elements like audio, room modes, and light settings; the app also enables playlist creation.

The new Naim Mu-so 2nd Generation will be available starting tomorrow, May 9, from various retails for $1,599 USD.
