Microsoft to share Halo news at E3 2014
One of the most popular video games on the Xbox platform for years has been Halo. There are several games in the Halo franchise and Xbox One gamers have been waiting in anticipation for details on when they will get the first Xbox One Halo game. It looks like some details will be coming this summer.
Microsoft Studios' Phil Spencer has posted a tweet that says Halo news will be coming at E3. He also mentioned that 343 Industries has a plan in place. It's no secret that Halo is coming to the Xbox One. We mentioned earlier this month that news had surfaced hinting Halo 5 would land for the Xbox One in 2015.
Halo 2 Anniversary is tipped to be landing this year, but the next major release in the franchise is not happening this year. These tips came from Steve Downes, the voice actor who plays Master Chief. We can hope that he is wrong and perhaps Halo 5 will land this year, but that seems unlikely at this point.
Microsoft teased a new Halo game at E3 in 2013 that didn't have a name. Most of the details of that game were kept under wraps, we do know it ran at 60p and promised dedicated servers for multiplayer gaming. Whether that game was Halo 2 Anniversary or something else is unknown.
