McLaren Special Operations creates cool custom Matched MSO R Coupe and Spider
McLaren Special Operations or MSO is the arm of the sportscar maker that makes special rides for the well-heeled buyers out there. When last we spoke of MSO it had resurrected the XP Green paint color for a limited run of six 570GTs. This time out one wealthy and lucky buyer has had MSO create a matched pair of MSO R models with one being a Coupe and the other a Spider.
Both cars have the same external, internal, and mechanical specs and are finished in Liquid Silver color with different finishes. The Coupe is in satin and the Spider is gloss finished both with carbon fiber center stripe. Both cars have the same twin-element rear wing and front dive planes for aero performance.
The front bumpers, bonnet, and louvered fenders along with the roof scoop and rear deck are all MSO Visual Carbon Fiber components. The cars have delta red pinstripes on the front splitter and side blades. The splitter, side skirts, sill panels, rocker panels, and plenum cover all have MSO R branding.
Both cars also share the same 5-spoke design wheels with a satin black finish for the coupe and gloss black on the Spider. The cars also have lots of custom touches inside with Alcantara trim in black with red stitching with seats that are red with black stitching and MSO R logos on the headrests. The steering wheel has carbon fiber upper and lower with black Alcantara grips.
Both cars have blueprinted engines and heads with hand polished exhaust ports. The twin-turbo V8s have 670bhp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The exhaust is a crossover muffle and features titanium end pipes. Performance figures are unknown.
