Mario Kart 8 Deluxe brings BotW Master Cycle Zero and Link

There is no shortage of racing games in any platform but Mario Kart has a special place in gamers' hearts. It is one of the few and perhaps the most notable racing game that makes any aspect, including losing, just as fun as winning. But unlike common racing games, its appeal is also dependent not on generic vehicles but memorable characters. The latest update to the latest version of Mario Kart adds Link to that roster. But who are we kidding, we're really after the Master Cycle Zero.

Link has a few possessions that are almost as iconic as him. That includes the Triforce, his Master Sword, and, more recently, his faithful steed Epona. But in Breathe of the Wild, specifically in the Champions' Ballad DLC, Nintendo added what could be the hero's coolest mount yet: the Master Cycle Zero.

Being a bike, it's the perfect addition to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's garage. And wouldn't you know, it just did in the latest update to the game. Oh, and yes, Link is also now a character in the game, too, wearing his Champion's Tunic and showing more emotion than ever.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 1.6.0 Update also adds a few items taken from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That includes Ancient Tires and a Paraglider. Nintendo also mentions improvements to gameplay and mysterious sounding new content not mentioned in its list.
