LG adds Chocolate Sideshow to piano-black Z1 lid

Sideshow on your fridge too "wacky" for you?  Or maybe you don't believe in refrigerating food, and instead eat it fresh from the earth, all mucky.  Well, perhaps you'd be better off with LG's so-called 'Chocolate' laptop, sadly not actually made of delicious confectionery but still pretty good; it has a 2.5-inch Sideshow display on the cover, together with touch-sensitive buttons of the sort that the LG phone range so popular.

Sub-display aside, the Core 2 Duo powered notebook has a 1.83GHz T5600 processor, 1GB RAM and 120GB hard drive, while an ATI Mobility Radeon X1350 graphics card (with 512MB dedicated memory) drives the 12.1-inch, 1280x800 TFT display.

NVIDIA's Preface technology means that even though the laptop might be powered off or hibernated you can still access information on the Sideshow display.  In effect that makes it a little like a smartphone in a huge casing, with no cellular connectivity.  Or maybe I'm just being cynical.
