Lenovo Snaps MacBooks To Push YOGA 3 Pro
To make clear that the Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro does, indeed, bend all the way backwards, Lenovo has taken to the mall to drop some pranks on unsuspecting shoppers. Working with the UCB Comedy crew and Above Average, Michael Kayne, Shaun Diston, and Jim Santangeli bring on some pre-broken MacBooks and some Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro units to a demonstration kiosk for the public. Watch as the YOGA's hinge allows it to bend all the way backwards, and the MacBooks'... doesn't bend quite so easily.
Each time a potential consumer reaches the kiosk, the demonstrator – also a comedian in disguise – shows off how the YOGA 3 Pro bends. They then show how – obviously – the MacBook Air does not. They also "accidentally" break the MacBook to freak the consumer out, then proceed to bail.
In reality it is most certainly NOT this easy to break a MacBook – we've tried. In fact, if you DID try to break a MacBook like this, it's more likely you'd snap the display before you snapped the hinge. But we'll leave that up to you to test for yourself – at your own risk, of course.
Meanwhile you can see a whole lot more on the Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro in our Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro Review this week. Above you'll see the hinge in action – smooth moving as it goes.
