Leaked Galaxy S7 screenshots offer glimpse at battery life

Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone are flying hot and heavy right now. Samsung is holding its Unpacked event on February 21 and at the event, the Galaxy S7 is expected to get official. Today some new screen shots leaked from a Russian Galaxy S7 device that claim to show battery life.UPDATE: These images, it turns out, are from the Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 – close to the Galaxy S7, but not quite there yet!

The image you see at the top is said to be two screenshots of the battery life of the smartphone. The screen shot on the left claims to show two days of battery life from 100% charge. The second image claims to show 4.5 hours of battery life.

That second image has no context, presumably, the Russian writing offers more details so if you read Russian let us know in comments. Previous rumors have claimed that the S7 would offer video playback time of up to 17 hours at full brightness per charge.

The battery has been rumored to be around 3000mAh in size. That rumor also came from the same source as the screenshots here, Eldar Murtazin. That might not sound like a massive battery; tweaks to software and processor efficiency also contribute to longer battery life for the device.
