Konica Minolta thumb-sized pico-projector

Konica Minolta have developed a projector that is apparently about the size of a thumb.  Rather than using lenses and bulbs, the projector relies on lasers and vibrating mirrors to create an image up to 20-inches in size at XGA resolution.  Overall, the device measures just 1.6 x 0.79 x 0.3 inches.

Maximum image size is reached from just 21 inches away.  It's unclear whether the dimensions Konica Minolta have given include a power source, or just the projector unit itself, but either way that's a very small unit!

The company expects to have the thumbdrive-sized projectors on the market within 2-3 years.  It's yet to release images or further specifications; nor do we have an idea of pricing.
