iPad mini 6th Generation (2021) Gallery

For a while it may have seemed like Apple forgot all about the iPad mini, but 2021 brings with it arguably the biggest change to the smallest tablet in the line-up since it went Retina in 2013. Now embracing the same, flat-edged styling as the larger iPad Pro and iPad Air, along with 5G connectivity, the redesigned iPad mini 6th Generation looks all the better for it. Plus, it gains some new pen-enabled features.

There's support for the second-generation Apple Pencil now, which attaches magnetically to the side of the tablet and charges there. A new quick-note feature in iPadOS, meanwhile, makes jotting down sudden inspiration easier. Or, you can handwrite, convert handwriting to text, and annotate and draw.

Inside, along with the optional 5G there's Apple's A15 Bionic chipset. The screen is an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina panel, running at a crispy 2266 x 1488 resolution, and there's a Touch ID sensor built into the power button. Pricing kicks off at $499 for the WiFi model, and $649 for the WiFi + Cellular version.
