Hyundai ARK Performance Solus Genesis Coupe unveiled for SEMA

The annual SEMA show is right around the corner and show cars that will be on display are trickling into the limelight. The latest is a tie up between Hyundai and ARK Performance called the Solus Genesis Coupe. The car is race-inspired and will make its official debut on November 3 at 11:30 a.m. PT.

The design of the Solus focused on making the car look wider giving it a better stance via the ARK Solus body kit. The interior of the car was also made over with a new dash, racing style steering wheel and gauges, and lots of carbon fiber bits.

The motor of the car is a 3.8L Hyundai Lambda V6 that was stroked to 4.0L and fitted with a Rotrex supercharger and updated internals. Those updates allow the car to produce over 500hp sent t the rear wheels of the car.

Tires are updated to stickier Nitto branded sports tires and the power goes to the road via a 6-speed manual. Other features include an ARK Legato trunk spoiler and APR Performance carbon fiber front splitter. Every time I see these "race bred" SEMA show cars I can't help but wonder how well they would actually fair on a racetrack.
