Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus has 5-inch screen, 4000mAh battery

Huawei has rolled out a new smartphone for folks shopping for a big screen and battery on a budget. The new device is called the Honor Holly 2 Plus and it has a 5-inch screen with resolution of 1280 x 720. The brain is a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit unit.

Graphics are handled by a Mali-T720 GPU and the smartphone has 2GB of RAM. Internal storage is 16GB and can be expanded to 128GB via microSD cards. Out of the box, the smartphone runs Android 5.1 with Emotion UI 3.1 over the top.

Huawei fits the smartphone with dual SIM card slots. It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, OmiVision BSI sensor, and 28mm wide-angle lens. The front camera on the smartphone is a 5MP unit. Power comes from a big 4000 mAh internal battery with special power saving tech built-in. The battery promises up to 3.75 days of normal use and two days with heavy use.

The smartphone supports 3G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and USB OTG. Buyers will be able to get the smartphone in grey, gold, and white colors with the phone available starting today through February 15. Pricing is Rs 8,499, which is a bit less than $125 in the States.
