HTC Supersonic 4G launching at CTIA 2010 next week?

HTC's WiMAX-packing Supersonic has been something of a regular when it comes to the rumor-mill over the past few months, and it seems Sprint may be ramping up to an announcement next week.  According to the WSJ's "people familiar with the matter", the Supersonic – expected to be an Android 2.1 device with a 4.3-inch display – will make its debut at CTIA 2010.

Sprint and HTC aren't saying anything, but the Supersonic is expected to take the stand on Tuesday as part of the carrier's CTIA keynote.  The company had previously only committed to a launch sometime in the first half of this year.

At the time, the carrier's business market's president Paget Alves suggested that the Sprint 4G phone would be targeted at government and industrial clients rather than solely at consumers.  However the WSJ also suggests that Sprint have recently changed their short-term incentive plan for employees, making signing up new contract customers to the WiMAX service a priority.
