HTC One M9 heads to the UK first, pricing identical to M8

While it's not certain whether the HTC One M9 will literally be delivered to UK carriers before the USA, pre-orders certainly have arrived first. The HTC One M9 is the next in a line of successful hero devices for the brand, coming with a design that closely mirrors last year's M8. This device works with a 5-inch Full HD 1080p display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octacore processor (SoC) with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There's also a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

While you might not be able to secure yourself a brand spanking new HTC One M9 here in the United States as of yet, the brand itself has opened pre-orders for the UK. With three different units available, the HTC One M9 is up for order for a cool £579.99. Meanwhile the original HTC One (M7) is still up for order for just under a hundred pounds less than that, while the HTC One M8 will cost you around £550.

It's kind of like this crew values their previous-gen phones almost as much as their current-gen phones. Or that you're dealing with off-contract devices here.

Head to the USA soon and you'll find the HTC One M9 costing several hundred dollars less, with the understanding that you'll be paying the rest over the next couple of years on-contract.

Off-contract pricing of the HTC One M9 in the United States is expected to be the same as the M8 when it was first released. That means somewhere around $649 USD here in the USA.

The HTC One M9 will be available in Gunmetal Gray, Gold on Silver, and in Black sooner than later. UK carriers of the HTC One M9 include EE, MobilePhonesDirect, Buy Mobiles, Vodafone, Carphone Warehouse, Three, and O2.
