How to convert your Android Wear to an Apple Watch

It's been at least a couple of days since Apple revealed the Apple Watch, right? You want to experience the warmth, the depth – the perfection of Apple's user interface – but you don't have an Apple Watch yet. What are your options? Here's what you do.

We know you want to fool your friends into believing you have an Apple Watch. We're right there with you. It's always time for an Apple device prank. Remember when Jimmy Kimmel convinced people that an old Casio watch was the fabled iWatch?

That can be you! You too can make a fool of not only your friends, but yourself as well with a few easy to kick out steps. You'll need to begin with the WearFaces app from the Google Play app store, made by the fellow called UhrArt.

For the next bit, you're going to have to head to UhrArt to check out his downloads of the watchfaces themselves. We cannot guarantee the safety of these files – download at your own risk.

From there you'll just have to push it to your Android device – or just download to your Android device in the first place. The app should know how to handle the files once you locate them. If you open them on your desktop machine, you'll find that they're made up of some extremely simple bits and pieces. Images, mostly.

This watchface is for looks, mainly. It doesn't move about like the Apple Watch's UI (as you'll see above) – but it does provide a nice background for your clock.

UhrArt has also created the video above to show you how to install the app on your Android Wear device – simple as pie.
