Sony’s Jim Ryan described the launch of Gran Turismo 6 as one where a collection of concept vehicles would be delivered before they head to the real world. With the help of the folks at Polyphony Digital, brands from BMW to Nike-associated Jordan would be creating vehicles specifically for this game. From here, the real world can learn how it’ll feel to work with these vehicles in a near-real gaming environment.
This game will be launching with the PlayStation 4 with unique content not available anywhere else. Gameplay video shown during the conference showed the the vehicles working with unique moving parts like lights and mirrors, the real life driving simulator will be taking the front seat on the 6th of December, 2013.
The launch will be taking place first for PlayStation 3, but it’s been suggested that an expanded version will be hitting the market for PlayStation 4. We’re currently waiting clarification on the launch schedule from Sony – stay tuned!

Meanwhile it was announced (again) that Sony Pictures would be producing a Gran Turismo film in the near future. This film will likely be released inside 2014 (at earliest) while more films will likely come soon after.
