Google Camera Update: Fisheye, Timer, And More

Digital photography enthusiasts, rejoice (if you're on Android, anyway): Google has pushed out an update for Google Camera, bringing with it some requested features following the major change that took place last month, among them being a couple new panorama modes.

The announcement was made on the Android Google+ page alongside some samples of the two new panorama modes: fisheye, featured in the image above, and wide-angle, which is exactly what it sounds like. This gives some new options for stitching together images than previously offered.

In addition to the new panorama modes, the Google Camera update — which became available yesterday to celebrate National Photo Month — tosses the ability to choose between 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios into the mix, the ability to capture in landscape with one's left hand, snap a photo while recording video, and to set a timer.

The timer, of course, has returned due to popular demand following its removal with the last major update. Some of the other missing (and well missed) features haven't made a reappearance, however. You can grab the update from the Play Store now.
