Google attempts to Teach Parents Tech (so you don't have to) [Video]

Google is taking on tech-shy parents with its latest project, Teach Parents Tech, and hoping that a selection of straightforward how-to videos could alleviate some of the "can you just fix this?" strain as geeks return home this holiday season. It's not clear how much future maintenance the site will actually see at this stage, so we don't know whether it's a one-off holiday gimmick or a project that will see new content added. As Philip Berne has written before, giving tech advice to parents is one of those difficult, invariably frustrating things most people have to do at one point, so anything that makes that process easier – for all involved – has to be a good thing.
