Galaxy S9 specs and bezel size measured in latest leak

Thanks to a variety of leaks over the past week, we've got our first really good look at how the Galaxy S9 sizes up next to the S8. The images you're about to see show not just how the renders compare, but the CAD drawings. It's through the CAD drawings that we see the exact measurements, and how they compare to what's coming up next.

Today we're having a peek at the most recent render leak of the Galaxy S9 Plus compared to the Galaxy S9 factory CAD. These images were shared by Steve H, aka OnLeaks, on Twitter. The images in this collection show how the display size hasn't likely gotten larger, but that the body has gotten smaller.

With a smaller body and a display the same size as it was in the earlier model, this Galaxy S would have a screen-to-body ration higher than before. The Galaxy S9 could potentially have a higher screen-to-body ratio than any Galaxy smartphone yet released. That'll be until the Galaxy Note 9, of course.

Pricing and release date news appeared earlier today in a leak that centered on Korea. While the release date isn't always the same in Asia as it is in the USA, we can safely assume that Samsung won't leave more than a week between the two. As such, we can assume the Galaxy S9 won't take more than a week or two to come to North America after the main event on February 24th, 2018.

That date, February 24th, is the day Samsung plans on revealing the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, more than likely. Have a peek at the timeline of related bits and pieces below – especially the specs post from Friday. There you'll find more information about how extremely slight the differences are between this year's Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S8 revealed just about one year ago.
