Here's the first teaser for Fortnite season 6
Last week, Epic announced the start date for Fortnite's 6th season, and when it did, we speculated that it would soon begin publishing teasers for the new season. Sure enough, today the teases began, giving us a glimpse at what we can expect when season 6 kicks off later this week. Buckle in, because things are about to get a little weird.
The first teaser for Fortnite season 6 features a lot of purple. More specifically, the teaser image a purple llama that is identified as a DJ in Epic's accompanying tweet. "All great parties need a DJ," the tweet reads, so it looks like season 6 is going to have at least something to do with a dance party.
The teaser image also features the infamous purple cube in the background, suggesting that we'll learn more about it once the season begins. The purple cube first appeared during season 5 and begin a cross-map trek to Loot Lake, where it eventually settled and turned the lake into a purple, bouncy mass, disappearing in the process.
What is that cube and where did it come from? How was it able to move on its own and why did it go Loot Lake? Why is so gosh-darned bouncy? These are questions we hope to see answered when season 6 begins later this week.
Season 6 begins on September 27, which gives us a couple more days of waiting. Epic will almost certainly share new teasers as we close in on launch day, so we'll be keeping an eye out for those. Stay tuned, because it won't be long before the cube's secrets will hopefully be revealed.
