EZ-Canvas makes your bland monitor a touchscreen

This, my soft chinned little gleehounds, is the haterz way of emulating the pen-on-screen joy that is the Tablet PC.  Or perhaps it's just Navisis' EZ-Canvas, a sheet of standard-looking acrylic that, when clipped to the front of your monitor, turns it into a pen-controlled touchscreen.

Compatible with both CRT and LCD screens, it relies on a pair of ultrasonic sensors mounted at the top to work out where the pen is touching the display.  Apparently you can then use your desktop PC as a Tablet PC, though considering the Tablet PC OS is only sold as an OEM package and not retail you'd need to use something like ritePen to leverage handwriting recognition and generally replacing text with ink.
