eMachines budget PCs announced: T3656, T5274 & W3653

eMachines has announced a trio of new budget desktops, priced from $300 and all featuring Intel processors.  The range begins with the T3656, with a 2GHz Celeron CPU, 1GB of RAM and 160GB, 7,200rpm hard-drive, and tops out with the T5274, with a dual-core Pentium 2GHz, 2GB of RAM and 320GB, 7,200rpm hard-drive.  Both have multi-format DVD burners, 5.1 channel surround sound audio and Intel's Graphics Media Accelerator 950.

Neither of the T-series come with a monitor, but eMachines third new machine, the W3653, includes a 17-inch widescreen LCD with 1440 x 900 resolution, 600:1 contrast ratio and 8ms response time.  The computer has a 2GHz Celeron 440, 1GB of RAM and 160GB, 7,200rpm hard-drive.  Unlike the other two models it runs Windows XP Home, rather than Vista Home Basic.

All three PCs are available now, priced at $299.99 for the T3656, $399.99 for the T5274 and $498 for the W3653.  The 17-inch monitor is available separately for $189.99 while a 19-inch version is priced at $209.99.
