Amazon is celebrating a rather big victory today, as it was recently ranked first place in Harris Poll’s annual corporate reputation survey. This is the third year running that Amazon has landed the top ranking in the poll, and as a thank you to customers who made the win happen, it’s hosting a one-day sale. While the sale is small in scope, we’re seeing some pretty tempting discounts on products made by Amazon.
With this one-day sale, we’re seeing discounts of at least 20% on Alexa-enabled devices. This, of course, means that Fire tablets and Echo devices are on sale, though Amazon hasn’t discounted its entire line up. While the discounts are tiny when we’re talking about something like the 7-inch Fire tablet, which is $10 off, they obviously get much bigger when we’re talking about Amazon’s more expensive products.
For instance, the Echo Show is down to $159.99 in this sale, which is a pretty significant discount on its list price of $229.99. The Echo Plus, meanwhile, is $119.99 today, while you can save a cool $20 on the cost of a Fire HD 8 tablet.
Speaking of these Fire tablets, it should be noted that all of the ones on sale come with Amazon’s special offers, which place ads on your lockscreen. You can opt out of Special Offers once you receive your tablet, but doing so will result in an extra charge. It would seem that Amazon’s recent decision to remove lockscreen ads from its Prime exclusive phones isn’t one that will spread to its lineup of Fire tablets – at least not yet.
It’s also worth pointing out that there are a few devices missing from this roster of deals. The standard Echo, for example, is nowhere to be seen, nor is the Echo Dot. Still, if you’ve eyeing something like the Echo Plus or the Echo Show, this is definitely a good time to buy. Act fast though, because these offers are only available today.
