Dodge to auction 2018 Challenger SRT Demon 3,300 for charity

Dodge is talking up a special auction that it has coming up this month in cooperating with Barrett-Jackson. The auction is a two-car package that will see one lucky buyer walking away with two last of their kind special sports cars. One of the rides is the very last of the limited production 2018 Challenger SRT Demon muscle cars.

Dodge said from the start that the Demon would be a limited production affair. The special Demon rolled off the line clad in black paint, but Dodge will have it hand painted to the Viper Red color that the last 2017 Viper wears. The last Viper is part of the package as well and while it looks plain, it was made in red with a black interior as a homage to the first-generation Viper RT/10.

The pair is being auctioned as "The Ultimate Last chance" and 100% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the United Way. The Demon has that special Viper Red paint color, 18-inch aluminum wheels, 18-inch drag radial tires, Demon badging and a one-of-a-kind VIN instrument panel badge.

The red and black Viper has an 8.4L V10 engine making 645hp and rolled off the line in August of 2017. It has a VIN ending in 731948 and has carbon fiber exterior accents, black Alcantara leather seats, a special VIN instrument panel badge and authentication kit.

The cars will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson and big money is expected. No estimates on the hammer price have been offered, but the first SRT Hellcat brought $1.65 million for charity in 2014.
