Crash Bandicoot trilogy release coming to PS4 Pro

This week the folks behind the Crash Bandicoot games of old have announced a trilogy of games for PS4. This set of games will be released all at once in one package for both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 4 Pro. Included in the set are new versions of the original three: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot Warped. They'll have graphics that are a BIT better than their original release – quite a bit, as it were.

This new set of versions of the original Crash Bandicoot series will include remastered soundtracks. They'll also include full analog stick support where before there was none. The original game system works now with a unified checkpoint system to make it "easier than ever" to play the game.

Those users of the original games will find "improved bonus levels" in these games as well – time trials too. The old crusty graphics in the eldest of games are being re-crafted to make way for the future. Voice actors return – Jess Harnell and Lex Lang have come back to record new bits and pieces to make the new games feel unified, as well.

Each of these games is being returned to their original glory with a dose of "fully-remastered HD graphical glory". This game trilogy will be packed into a single release called the "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" for two systems. Both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 4 Pro will be getting this game for $40 USD.

Activision Publishing will be publishing the title while the lead developer will be Vicarious Visions. Users will be able to pre-order the game immediately, while the final release will take place on June 30th, 2017.
