Chevy refreshes Cruze and Spark cars

Yesterday word was going around that Chevy would be discontinuing the Sonic small car amid poor sales. You might have wondered what that would mean for other Chevy cars. Some of those other cars are being refreshed to woo buyers and the 2019 Cruze and 2019 Spark are among the rides being refreshed.

The Cruze gets an all-new front fascia and grille designed to "reinforce" its premium appearance. Premier Trim Cruze cars get dual-element taillamps and have LED accent lighting. Other updates to the Cruze include new Chevy Infotainment 3 with a 7-inch diagonal color touchscreen. Remote start and automatic climate control are standard on LT and Premier models.

New wheel designs are offered and black window moldings, bowtie emblems, and machined wheels are offered on the RS package. A new Umber color is offered. The 2019 Cruze will have 1.4 turbo and 1.6L turbo-diesel engines offered along with lots of available safety features.

The 2019 spark gets fresh front-end styling and available Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking. The car gets chrome in the grille, available projector-style headlamps and available LED running lamps. The rear of the car has dual-element taillamps.

The car comes in LS, LT, 2LT, and ACTIV trims. The latter trim has a 10mm higher ride height and is meant to be more like a cross-over. All trims get standard AC, 10 airbags, and a backup camera. The sole engine is a 1.4L DOHC with a manual transmission offered and CVT available.
