Chevrolet Trax small SUV aims at Nissan Juke

Chevrolet is aiming directly at the popular Nissan Juke with a new small SUV for city dwellers called the 2015 Chevrolet Trax. Chevy has taken a more traditional approach to making a small SUV rather than going with a quirky design as Nissan did with the Juke. The 2015 Trax is also packed with some interesting technology that you can't get in the Juke and similar vehicles.

The Trax has 4G LTE hot spot connectivity inside and Siri Eyes Free technology. It uses a turbocharged engine that promises 34mpg on the highway. That turbo engine is a 1.4L Ecotec producing 138hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is also available on the Trax.

Chevrolet says that the Trax has 48.4 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat folded and 18.7 cubic feet with the rear seats up. That is more space than the Juke offers, but less than the Kia Soul and Jeep Renegade Chevy is also targeting.

Trax is also fitted with OnStar, a USB port, Satellite Radio is available, and a 7-inch color touch screen with MyLink infotainment is standard. The 2015 Chevrolet Trax SUV will start at $20,995 with All-wheel drive adding $1500 to that price.
