CasaTunes unveils low profile XLi and XLe music servers

CasaTunes unveiled its XL line of music servers back in January. Today the company has announced the addition of a couple new models to the XL line including the XLe and XLi low profile music servers.

Both of the servers use the hardware-based multi-zone switch to allow the system to stream to one or more zones with each zone getting its own volume and EQ settings. The main difference between the Xli and XLe are the number of zones they support.

The XLi supports up to six output zones and the XLe supports up to 12 and can be expanded to 48-rooms for larger installations. The XLe also has input trigger and multiple output triggers that allow the install to integrate doorbell, door phones, muting, and paging and it can control multi-channel amps and speaker selection. The units both have 1TB of storage and are only 2.7-inches thick. The XLi sells for $1499 and the XLe sells for $2199.
