Canon Realis 4K500St Pro projector supports 4k and 5000 lumens

Canon has rolled out a new projector that is aiming at a variety of markets where high resolution and bright output are needed. Canon says that the Realis 4K500ST Pro AV LCOS Projector is ideal for training, museums and galleries, industrial design, and higher education. The projector has a native resolution of 4096 x 2400.

The projector has up to 5000 lumens and uses Canon LCOS tech inside. A Canon 4K lens with pro level settings and features is used providing marginal focus. That special focus feature allows content projected onto a domed surfaces to stay in focus.

The projector is one of the most compact and lightest of its type at 38.8 pounds. The 4K short focus wide zoom lens has a throw ratio of 1.0 to 1.3:1. That means it can throw a 10-foot wide image from a distance of ten feet from a surface. Along with the high brightness, the projector has a contrast ratio of 2500:1

The native resolution is 4096 x 2400, but the projector can also use 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160 resolutions. It can play video at 60 or 30 fps and is capable of optimizing playback of non-native 4k resolution content. A projector with this level of features doesn't come cheap with the MSRP for the 4K500ST projector at $54,990.
