Canon offers firmware update to v1.2.2 for EOS 7D

Late last year we reviewed the cool Canon EOS 7D DSLR camera and liked the cam quite a bit. If you have your own 7D, you may have noticed a couple issues with the camera. The good news is that Canon has released a new firmware that fixes those issues.

The new firmware version is available to download now and brings the camera to version 1.2.2. The update fixes an issue that allows the aperture to move when shooting movies in manual mode using some canon lenses.

The firmware also fixes AF point-selection in certain custom modes and fixes the AF point display for the viewfinder when shooting vertically. The update also fixes misspellings in Spanish and Thai menus.
