Brawl Stars Summer Brawl Talk video reveals radical Star Power updates

The folks behind Brawl Stars just released a set of details on the next big update to the game. The newest update will have some interesting cross-brand action going on, including some... Bumblebee skin? Probably a new Brawler, and four new skins to boot. There'll be some new end game content soon, as well.

The new Brawler's name is Tick. This bomb-blasting piece of work uses his head to get down to business. He throws proximity mines – that means he'll be good to roll up against less-than-savvy opponents who don't normally pay attention to their environment. Drop a few mines and run!

Tick's Super move is a tossing of his own head. His head acts as a homing mine, similar to (but far more powerful than) the standard mines he throws otherwise. The only major weakness of this Super is a shot to the projectile (the head), as it'll make said head explode before it causes damage.

Tick can be unlocked for "free", but you'll need to have 4000 trophies on the Trophy Road. So assuming you're all about playing non-stop all the time, maybe you're already there? Otherwise you may well be racking up some play this weekend. But it's summer, right?

As for the Transformers business – it might not be quite so on-brand as we initially thought. Mecha Crow and Mecha Bo are joining the crew, along with Robo Mike and Robo Spike. And they're not free – they start at 150 gems. So gem up, folks. Get those robot skins and be wild.

There's a super fabulous update to end game players abilities with trophies in this update, too. Instead of just throwing all your trophies in the trash, you'll be able to convert all those over 500 into a new type of currency.

Star Points are a new sort of currency in Brawl Stars, currency that'll allow users to buy "exclusive" items. Color variations of some of the newest skins are included in the shop at the start, and new items will be added in the near future.

At the end of the video you'll find a brand new feature that'll be rolling out all summer long. That's a new set of Star Powers – a couple each week – bringing all manner of power blasts and game-changers into the mix for the next couple months at least.
