Bose SoundTouch Series II expands wireless speaker array

A wave of new hardware is coming to Bose's wireless sound system brand, the SoundTouch Wi-Fi Music System Line. Along with units like the SoundTouch Series II, Portable Series II, and CineMate 520 systems, Bose has also revealed that Deezer, Spotify, and iHeartRadio are joining in as compatible music systems. They join Pandora already in effect.

This is the second generation of Bose SoundTouch Wi-Fi music system equipment and software. The whole lot works together and connects wherever normal Wi-Fi would – that includes through walls and floors. In addition to working with the SoundTouch app, the whole SoundTouch collection of hardware works with Apple's AirPlay for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

Bose has introduced 10 new SoundTouch Wi-Fi music systems this week, including the following:

• SoundTouch 30 Series II Wi-Fi music system: $699

• SoundTouch 20 Series II Wi-Fi music system: $399

• SoundTouch Portable Series II Wi-Fi music system: $399

• SoundTouch Stereo JC Series II Wi-Fi music system: $1,199

• Lifestyle 135 Series III, 525 Series III, 535 Series III home entertainment systems: starting at $2,599

• CineMate 520, 120, 130 home theater systems: starting at $1,099

You'll want a Lifestyle system if you plan on listening to music throughout your home, while the CineMate systems are made specifically for filling your home theater with Bose cinematic sound. The Stereo JC Series II Wi-Fi Music system is the most premium of standalone stereo music systems in the collection with redesigned Jewel Cube Series II speakers and an Acoustimass module.

The SoundTouch one-piece systems are all made to take charge in any room, connecting between themselves to create a full home experience. They're all available in black for the first time – the previous generation was only available in white.

The whole lot will be available beginning this week while the app upgrade to the second wave will be released on October 10th to all devices with the current app.
