BMW iX3 All-Electric SUV Teased
Like any other automakers, BMW is pushing hard on the electrification front and has several new EVs coming to market. One of those EVs will be the BMW iX3 SUV, a vehicle we have heard about before. We don't know much about the iX3 right now other than it will be an SUV and based on the X3 SUV presumably.
BMW is teasing the small electric SUV with a new video that has surfaced showing the front end of the iX3 in several colors. The video hails the tease as the world premiere of the iX3 and promises more details coming at Auto China Beijing 2018.
Not only are different colors shown in the teaser video, but the cars also have different grills. One looks more like a traditional SUV grille while the second appears a bit sportier. While hard details are scant right now, the iX3 is expected to be a long-range electric SUV.

The vehicle is to be a mid-size offering like the X3 it is based on. It will fight the Jaguar I-Pace and the Audi E-Tron Quattro as the first all-electric EVs on the mid-size SUV segment. The official unveiling is expected next week and the iX3 is tipped to hit showrooms in 2020.
BMW executive Harald Krüger has stated in the past that 2020 is when BMW will be positioned to electrify all its models. More recently BMW confirmed the M2 Competition landing with the same turbo engine that the M3 and M4 have underhood.
