BlackBerry Bold gets $660 unsubsidized Best Buy price tag

It's not often we get to call a $660 cellphone a bargain, but if you'd been saving up for an unsubsidized AT&T BlackBerry Bold thinking that Best Buy's price would be $679.99, you'll be pleased by the news that it's actually come in at "just" $659.99.  The smartphone is currently listed as 'backordered', with delivery expected in 1-2 weeks.

AT&T have already announced that the Bold will be available on November 4th, so that delivery timetable roughly fits in.  The carrier is asking $299.99 for the handset, though that does require buyers to sign up to a new two-year agreement.

The Bold has both a full QWERTY keyboard and 3G, together with WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP wireless stereo support.  Those who pick up the handset contract-free will need to have some sort of BlackBerry server plan with the carrier they eventually use it with, otherwise they could find the messaging features limited.
