AT&T unveils new 7GB mobile share data plan

We've seen a few different carriers introduce new data plans in recent times. Cricket, AT&T's prepaid carrier, introduced a new plan recently in addition to boosting the data available on some of its existing plans. Verizon followed soon after with its own data tweaking, and now there's AT&T, which is etching its own spot with a new 7GB data sharing plan. The plan is limited and won't be around for long, but while available it is offering 7GB of data to be shared across three lines.

AT&T announced the new plan earlier today (it'll officially be available tomorrow), saying that it will only be available for a limited time (though it doesn't say when it'll be over). Under it, Mobile Share Value subscribers can sign up for 7GB of data that is shared across three lines, in addition to unlimited text and minutes. In addition, the plan offers rollover data.

The plan is priced at $120/month for the three lines on the plan. Customers that sign up for a new smartphone under the carrier's Next will get a $100 credit, meanwhile. The plan is being offered to both new subscribers and current subscribers, with the latter being able to find the new plan through their account.

Rounding it out is a perk for those potential AT&T Next customers — those who sign up for a phone under that as part of the new 7GB plan will be charged $15/month for that handset's line access charge, which is notably lower than the fee charged for phones under a two-year agreement.
