ASUS N10 launches: $749 with 160GB, hybrid graphics & draft-n

ASUS' N10 netbook – the one that most definitely is not an Eee, remember – has been officially announced in Korea.  The ultraportable is known to have a 10.2-inch LED backlit display and use Intel's Atom N270 1.6GHz processor; however thanks to the BGR and a leaked ASUS presentation, we now know the full specs of the two N10 variants the company will be launching in the US.

The two models are the N10J-A1 and N10J-A2.  The former has Vista Home Premium and a 160GB 5,400rpm SATA HDD; the latter has a choice of Vista Business or XP Pro and a 250GB 5,400rpm HDD.  Both have 2GB of RAM, hybrid graphics (the N10 can be switched between an NVIDIA GeForce Go 9300M GS 256MB or Intel GMA950 onboard graphics) and an ExpressCard slot.

Ports include three USB 2.0, one HDMI, ethernet, external monitor and audio connections.  There's also a 1.3-megapixel webcam, fingerprint reader, WiFi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.  A 6-cell battery is supplied, with u to 6.5hrs use quoted.

The N10J-A1 has a MRSP of $749, while the N10J-A2 is at $849.  No word on availability in the US, but ASUS have said the N10 will hit Korean shelves this month.
