ASUS have listed a new netbook, the ASUS Eee PC 1002H, a 10-inch WSVGA 1024 x 600 model with chiclet-style keys and up to 5hrs runtime from the standard battery. The Eee PC 1002H has an Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory and a combined 160GB hard-drive and 10GB of online Eee Storage.
Connectivity includes standard WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. There’s also a VGA output, three USB 2.0 ports, an ethernet port, audio in/out and a multiformat memory-card reader. A 1.3-megapixel webcam, digital microphone array and stereo speakers round out the package.
The ASUS Eee PC 1002H measures 264 x 181 x 27.6mm and weighs 1.2kg. ASUS have also given it a one-key (F9) system recovery mode to get back up and running after serious crashes, and the keyboard is 92-percent of full-size. Finally, the trackpad is multitouch-capable, and there’s a new Dr Eee app which allows for voice-control of slide-shows and application launches.
No word on pricing or availability for the ASUS Eee PC 1002H as yet.
